Mr. Jeffrey D. Flores is the founding Principal for the Frank L. Madla Early College High School (ECHS).  Frank L. Madla ECHS is located on the campus of Palo Alto College and is built on a commitment to provide students with:

  • rigorous academic programs;
  • college-going culture committed to excellence;
  • a safe and student friendly environment;
  • personalized academic counseling; and
  • the self-confidence and skills they need to thrive in the 21st-century economy.

Students have the opportunity to earn an Associate’s Degree (60 credits) from Palo Alto College, while earning their High School Distinguished Diploma at no cost.

Most recently, Mr. Flores served as the founding Superintendent/Principal at the Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design. Under the leadership of Mr. Flores, HFA: ASAD students garnered district, regional, state and national accolades in academic, athletic, theatrical, design and artistic competitions.

Additionally, Mr. Flores has served as the Director of School Operations, Planning, and Accountability for the National Council of La Raza (NCLR).  NCLR is the largest national constituency-based Hispanic organization and the leading voice in Washington, DC for the Hispanic community.   He also served as a Field Service Agent for the Educational Service Center, Region 20, an organization that assists school districts and open-enrollment charter schools in improving student performance and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of school operations. In addition, he has been a teacher, coach, and school administrator overseeing and developing curriculum and instruction, special education, discipline, and guidance counseling programs. He has experience with elementary, secondary and higher education.

Mr. Flores holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government with an emphasis on Southwestern Studies, as well as a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Our Lady of the Lake University.  He also holds a certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as a Master’s in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
