The Next chapter of the New Frontiers Public Schools Legacy
For over twenty years, we have had the great honor of serving our community and its families. As the education world evolves so do the needs in public education. Over the past few years, our district has worked to evaluate how best we can continue to be a solution. After much consideration we have decided to refocus our mission and specifically target expanding the early college experience. For the next school year – 2021-2022, we will shift our operations to a 9-12th grade district to plan for a desired expansion of our early college model. These growth efforts are supported by local higher education systems as well as philanthropic foundations. We look forward to this next chapter in our legacy and the impact that it will make on generations to come.

Abridged Operations
For the next school year - 2021-2022 , we will shift our operations to a 9-12th grade district to plan for expansion of our early college model. We have requested a period of ‘dormancy’ with the Texas Education Agency in grades PK-5th, meaning we intend to resume operations in these grade levels at a later date to be determined.
4018 South Presa and 138 Fair Avenue Facilities Sold
Our current facilities at 4018 South Presa and 138 Fair Avenue have been on the sales market for over two years. We have been very selective as to who would make a good owner of our facilities and continue our loving care of the community. The facilities have been sold to Royal Public Schools who will begin operation August 2021. We will finish the current 2020-2021 school year serving K-8 at 4018 South Presa.
Early College Expansion
We have submitted a request to the Texas Education Agency to replicate our early college high school and anticipate their decision may come before May 31st. This growth effort is supported by local higher education systems as well as philanthropic foundations. Additionally, we have been awarded a grant to pursue this expansion and look forward to working with the Texas Education Agency in developing another early college high school.
Future Plans of Growth
We know that there is a tremendous opportunity to grow our community’s college degree attainment. For this reason, we are working with our leadership to continue to plan for additional opportunities to expand the early college experience. We look forward to the next chapter of our legacy and the impact that it will make on generations to come.
